Weimar has preserved a lot of the look it had in the 1700s and 1800s. The surrounding castle and park lands are almost as large as the city itself.
A constant influx of students, of young and of culturally active individuals generates an intense mixture in contrast to the historic nostalgia of the setting.
Focal points: „Weimar Republik”, Buchenwald concentration camp, Nietzsche, Bach, Martin Luther, Modern Art & Architecture of the Bauhaus.
The hostel is non-profit and student run. The baroque building is part of the old town center. It has not been modernized. Dorm 10.- €. Linen 2,50 €.

„Das Hababusch Hostel liegt im Zentrum der historischen Altstadt.
Das Gebäude ist 200 Jahre alt und wird von uns selber nach und nach renoviert.
Wir sind eine große Studenten-Wohngemeinschaft mit Gästezimmern für Rucksackreisende und leicht „alternativem“ Anstrich.”
“Für die Gäste gibt es eine Selbstversorgerküche ,einen Aufenthaltsraum für 18 Personen, einen gemeinsamen Waschraum, 2 Duschen, 2 WCs. Frühstück bieten wir nicht an. Bettwäsche kann man selbst mitbringen oder für 2,50€ leihen. EZ 15€, DZ 12€ p.P., Mehrbettzimmer 10€.“ |
